Christmas tradition in Croatia

• Before Christmas day we decorate the Christmas tree.

• On Christmas Eve people usualy eat fish.

• At midnight people go to church to celebrate.

• Children are very happy when they

see presents under the tree.

• Famous Christmas song is Silent Night.

• On the Advent wreath there are 4 candles.

Christmas tradition in my home

• On the day of Saint Lucy, 13 December, my grandma sows wheat.

• Grandma and my mother bake many different cakes.

• My father, brother and I usually go to buy the Christmas tree.

• On Christmas day

all family is together.

• For lunch we eat pork.

• We sing Christmas songs after the meal.

Christmas in England

• The English gift giver is called

Santa Claus or Father Christmas

• The traditional Christmas dinner is roast turkey with vegetables

• The day after Christmas is called Boxing Day
