Christmas is a cornerstone chapter

in the story of God’s love.

It represents the birth of Hope

that paved the road for redemption;

a divinely-appointed, starlit, wonder-filled story

written by the Creator of the universe.

Christmas – what a night …

What a glorious night!

Let me encourage you to use this weekend’s musical offer-ing as an opportunity to reach someone who is unchurched. Sympathy is extended to the Family of Mrs. Rose Willhite, in the loss of her Brother.

From Bro. Joe:From Bro. Joe:From Bro. Joe:From Bro. Joe: Dear Church Family: It is amazing that we are already into the Christmas season. There is so much to be excited about, so many things going on, it is a busy time of the year. We have so much to be thankful for. This is the time to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior. The Choir and Orchestra have been busy practicing and rehearsing, getting ready for the Christmas program. I know you are as eager and excited as I am to hear and to see what they have prepared for us. What an opportunity for us to invite family and friends to come and experience worship to our Lord! We have started Children’s Church on Sunday Mornings for children 1st thru 4th grade. We have also started Children’s Choir and Team Kids on Wednesday Nights. The Children’s Choir is from 5 to 6 PM. We have a supper for the children and workers from 6 to 6:30 PM then from 6:30 to 7:15 PM we have Team Kids for children in 1st-6th Grade. Starting in January, we will have a Preschool and Kindergarten Chil-dren’s Church beside the nursery. The Children’s Church for the 1st-6th Grade will move upstairs to the Children’s area we are currently working on. We have much to be thankful for, much to be excited about and much to do. But we need to take this time to reflect on the blessings and the gift that has been given. Jesus Christ came to this world to be born in a manger, to live a humble life as a carpenters Son. For one reason and one reason only. To seek and to save that which was lost! Luke 19:10 How do we communicate that? The easiest way this time of the year to communicate what Christ did for us, is to remember John 3:16-17; John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begot-ten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:17 For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might

be saved. Let us remember the gift that He gave and give that gift to others, by simply sharing the gospel with those who we encounter now and throughout this season of the year. Pam and I would like to say a big THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS YOU to everyone. We had a great time at the open house at the par-sonage this past Sunday. Thank you for the kind words, thoughts and gifts, to everyone. We are so blessed to be here and to be a part of the First Baptist Family. God Bless You! Bro. Joe Garner
