Dear Parents,

Thank you for your inquiry about Tate Springs Christian School. Our school was established in 1967 and is dedicated to serving our community with devoted Christian teachers and staff. Our Bible based curriculum instills the high principles that are necessary for children to be prepared to become a part of society. While striving for educational excellence and social development, an atmosphere of Christian faith and love enables us to respond to the needs of students and their families both spiritually and physically. The promotion of high expectations in a Christ centered environment shapes the mind and heart for a well-adjusted and successful life.

Being a part of God’s school has become the highlight of my many years of educational service. It is such a joy to work with children and families who have the desire and wisdom to bring up their children in the knowledge and ways of our Lord. As I prayer walk around our building, I pray that God directs to our school the children and families that He has chosen for us to serve. We take very seriously the responsibility to always follow His plans. Above my computer I have the scripture from Proverbs 16:3. “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.” Our school has been richly blessed, and we give our Father all the credit.

* Tate Tots – Preschool is a vital part of the Weekday Education Ministry. It is a structured, Christian, week-day program for children 12 months to 4 years of age. It is our privilege to reach out to children and families in the community. Tate Tots provides a safe and loving environment in which children can have a positive learning experience. *Tate Springs Christian Preschool has a valued impact upon the 5 day program for children 3 and 4 years of age. All activities are age-appropriate from superior Bible based curricula developed by A Beka and Bob Jones University Press. Dress Code Policy

Believing that our clothing and the way we wear it should represent our desire to please God and honor Him, the following dress code has been adopted for all five day classes, kindergarten through sixth grade students.

1. Monday through Friday all students must wear uniforms as stated: Students may wear navy or khaki pants or walking shorts. Shorts, skorts, and skirts must be at least mid-thigh. Shirts must be white, red, or navy. Sleeves may be either short or long. No sleeveless shirts or blouses will be allowed. During cold weather, solid white, red, or navy sweaters and/or sweatshirts may be worn over shirts for warmth. No emblems except the TSCS logo may be worn. No jeans will be allowed.

2. Girls may also wear skirts, skorts, capris, or jumpers in khaki or navy. Solid colored matching tights or leggings (white, red, or navy) may be worn with skirts and jumpers.

3. No jewelry, please, with the exception of watches or stud earrings.

4. Athletic shoes or shoes that tie are preferred because they are safer for P.E. and playground activities. Boots, sandals and flip-flops are not allowed as there have been problems with wood-chips, etc. Socks and shoes should coordinate with the colors of the dress code.

5. Red TSCS T-shirts should be worn for all field trips and school programs. Parents will be notified in advance of these special days. The special Friday shirts and previously purchased Field Day shirts may be worn on Fridays only.

6. It is very important that you put your child’s first and last name in all shirts, sweatshirts, jackets, and coats.

7. We ask for parental cooperation in these areas. Hair should be kept neat, clean, and reasonably styled. Hair should be a natural color, and style should not be disruptive to the classroom or school environment, such as Mohawks and faux hawks.

8. Notification will be sent home about any variance to the dress code.

9. Thank you in advance for making sure that your child adheres to our dress code policy. Follow-ing these rules is another avenue of learning to be respectful and cooperative.
