The Christmas season continues with the Feast of the Epiphany. We recall the magi who are famous for seeking the Lord. The Church asks us to imitate both their quest and their humble disposition. That is to say, believers must always be searching, for we can never possibly reach the end of the mystery of God, and to realize this is a sign of genuine humility. The Lord beckons us constantly to go deeper in our relationship with him and to plumb ever further the depths of his love. Yet responding to this invitation takes no small amount of submissiveness, bravery, and perseverance the virtues on display in the story of the three kings. Let us take them as our models and continue to seek the Lord with an open mind and a courageous heart.

El tiempo de Navidad continúa con la Fiesta de la Epifanía. Recordamos a los magos que son famosos por buscar al Señor. La Iglesia nos pide imitar su disposición, tanto su afán como de su humildad. Es decir, los creyentes debemos estar buscando siempre, porque nunca lograremos comprender en su totalidad el misterio de Dios, y el aceptar esto es un gesto de humildad verdadera. El Señor nos llama constantemente a profundizar nuestra relación con él y a adentrarnos en la profundidad de su amor. Sin embargo, responder a esa llamada implica verdadera sumisión, valentía, y perseverancia las virtudes que se encuentra en la historia de los tres reyes magos. Tomémoslos como nuestros modelos y sigamos buscando al Señor con una mente abierta y un corazón valiente.

Que el Señor los bendiga durante la próxima semana.
