T-shirt designs for the annual RELO Rally. A fundraiser for cancer patients in the area. Designing, organizing, pricing, and printing all garment designs as well as delivery, invoicing, and payments. Two logos. Logo one has the name, PJ’s, but also forms an “M” for the owner’s name, Meadow. The second is a combination of “PJ’s,” and “Pub.”

HONORABLEMENTION1. Spokane, WA - I had the idea to make logos for Spokane and surrounding areas and communities. I paused when another artist started a similar project and am deciding now how to evolve the idea. 2. Groove Merchants - Designed for posters for a local record shop in Spokane, WA. He also wanted to use my business card idea, but never gave me a stockpile of records covers. 3. Re-Run Theatre - A Spokane group that re-creates 90’s sitcoms live. The TV is based on generic 90’s TV sets. I also made a version that had the VCR combo. 4. Breezy Brown’s - A local vintage clothing and goods salesman. A Spokane staple whom I was excited to work with. I’ve been his go-to guy for almost 3 years. 5. Boosh Cruise - Hired to do a design incorporating the 4 people who created the event. 6. Silver Hand Pickups - A Spokane start-up building custom-made guitar pick-ups. 7. Camas Camp of Champs - An annual wrestling camp that always wants crazy looking Bison in wrestling gear for their designs. 8. CCWP - Wrestling podcast out of New York started by a guy whose trained with my favorite pro wrestlers of the last ten years. 9. Jax Juice - A juice shop in Hillyard. I also created business cards, punch cards, and their banner as well.

PACIFIC PRODUCECreating ads for weekly deals which would be displayed for farmer’s markets in Spokane. Creating work that looks like it could have been printed on cheap machines in the 50’s and carries an almost timeless feel. Script font on the “Stonefruit and Treefruit,” poster is hand drawn strictly for this one poster. Heavy use of Futura font roughened in Illustrator to give the appearance of rough printed text. I also added “ink spots,” to give even more of an appearance of cheap, old time, simple prints. Finding ways to simplify fruits and vegetables illustrations into single color designs.

Cover design

GREENBUROCreating a new custom Sanmar catalog design every year. I try to change things up and incorporate different styles each time. Fun, free reign job that really helped me to understand book cover layout, and translation of size from screen to print. You can see an obvious shift from my days as an illustration based designer to more of a shapes and text designer like I am today. The first two were all Photoshop. The last three were primarily Illustrator with touch-up effects in Photoshop.

490 NORTHSpokane-area ski resort needing new fliers and posters for the 2015 winter season. I was given a couple low res photos and no vector logo to finish the design. I recreated the logo into vector and added a halftone effect to mask the poor resolution of the source photos. My obsession with vintage print comes into effect once again, using old paper textures and erosion brushes to make these appear as if they were printed before 2015. Even going as far offsetting the type as if it were done on a press.

ENCINO BANDSchool project creating a package design for any item. I chose a record cover design. But the idea wasn’t in the design of a record, but in the includes in the package. The idea was to include a puzzle, a sleeve with a checkerboard pattern on the back in case you wanted to play a game of chess or checkers. I’ve gotten records that come with nothing except a sheet of paper printed all black, which is a huge waste of materials. So I wanted to create something of a game box inside of a record package. The robot on the cover is a costume I made out of boxes, tape, and plumbing pieces. I wore it to play drums for a music video I created, and took photos of it by itself to create the cover. Encino Band is a band I was in during 2012-2013.

PWEUsing directions such as “Street Fighter,” “NES Pro Wrestling,” and “LASERS!” I’ve been tasked with creating the posters, digital materials, DVD covers, and other business collateral for a wrestling organization out of Philadelphia. I donated a new logo because their original was hard to work with. I created a vector logo so there wouldn’t be resizing issues, with three different styles to choose from: Full color, 2-3 color, and a single color. Mostly donated work, but I have gotten free merchandise out of it. Like some 90’s wrestling trading cards. It’s expensive to throw a wrestling show. So I’m trying to give him visually competitive posters in a flooded market.
