I am a positive, proactive, innovative and results driven individual with asuccessful background. I am experienced within the events, install arena, working with customers to fully understand the necessary requirements to achieve customer needs. Since August 2010, I have been a freelance AV technician with companies that include Box42, Third source, Focus, EMS, Dawsons, By Nica and Corporate Av, I also work directly with my own client base.

I have been fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with some highly skilled individuals over the years, allowing me to gain experience in a wide range of areas. I have spent over 10 years working alongside John Willis and laterly with the production house crew. With NTL I was trained up in telecommunications and catv, domestic installation and fault finding. My time as a full timefreelance av technician has afforded me the chances to manage small teams of camera men (2-3) while mixing video and text for main screen and capture. I can rig and operate PA and AV for an event as a single worker, and have no difficultyin working as a team member for larger events or installs. As a musician I feel I have a good insight into a performer’s desired outcome, both from a technical and client point of view, and with a background in performing arts, I am able to identify needs and communicate clearly with artists, speakers, singers and entertainers. I believe that my communication skills are well developed. In Jan 2013, I started work for NIAVAC as the Senior Technician. In this role I was employed

to run the hire department, produce new leads, increase the customer base, revitalize equipment

stock and produce forecasts and projections of the departments development. It was my

responsibility to develop a new strategy and its implementation with support from the Operations

Manager (David Kell at the time) and MD James Conlon and to manage staff resources including

full time members of staff and freelancers.

I proved myself more than competent within all of these roles, being personally responsible for overI proved myself more than competent within all of these roles, being personally responsible for over

£30,000.00 worth of work within the five month period I was employed, this formed a large part

of the overall income for the hire department during the same period. Sadly due to developments

within the company I felt I had no choice but to resign my post in May before completing 6 months

probation and subsequently entering a permanent contract.
