Career History

Grounds Maintenance Operative 2015-Present

Served in The British Army since 2001 - 2014

• Successfully completed four 7 month tours of duty: 3 to Iraq as rifle man, gunner &

mortar platoon in 2003, 2005/6 & 2008. 1 to The Falkland islands as part of the UK rapid reaction force 2011. 1 to Afghanistan Helmand Provence as part of the mortar platoon 2013

• Defense system supervisor, Number 1 on a Mortar barrel 3 man team 2007 - present.

• Successfully completed two driving courses for two types of armored vehicles in 2007.

• Dealt with problems on a daily basis in all conditions around the world, from UK &

European bases to the Middle East including Iraq/Afghanistan. These problems include: fixing a broken vehicle(s), maintaining equipment to regulated health & safety standards, coming under attack from the enemy, managing in all adverse weather conditions, from frost bite to de-hydration.

• Team medic for all tours of duty, responsible for 8 men. Dealt with casualties military &

civilian. Providing lifesaving first aid. Being able to task outsourced agencies i: e helicopters, ground vehicles.

• Monitor plant, equipment and process operations for correct performance including the

buy off of new equipment.
