inspired by the long tradition of excellent Baltic and Scandinavian male choirs, Diane Loomer founded Chor Leoni in 1993. BC/BALtiCA celebrates the amazing choral music that springs from this area of the world, and honours the foundation upon which Chor Leoni was established. Fantastic works by tormis, Rautavaara, ešenvalds, Grieg and Nystedt highlight how male choral music has grown in BC from the seeds of these Baltic masterworks.

Recorded at the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts with GRAMMY award-winning producer Steve Barnett, the disc features the premiere recording of Wandering Heart by riks ešenvalds to poetry of leonard Cohen.

Works by Morten Lauridsen, kim André Arnesen and Paul Mealor round out this stunning collection, the choir’s first CD since 2011.
