Languages update!1. Australian Curriculum- Where are we up to?

(according to ACARA)

Italian and Chinese curriculum being revised based on feedback from consultations

Curriculum is being streamlined - 2 strands:

- Communicating

- Understanding

Less sub-strands

Chinese and Italian to be approved by Minister early 2014

Other languages to be revised in 2014

Implementation for NSW?? (This decision rests with NSW minister andBoS)

BoS has undertaken a review of Languages Education Policy in NSW.
