Choose Abingdon in association with Infineum have launched a competition to find the best young entrepreneur locally. To enter you need to be 29 or under, have either started your own business or made a significant contribution and changes to an existing one, and either live or trade in or around Abingdon-on-Thames. Our judging panel will start sifting through the applications after the deadline for entries has passed on 15th January 2013. The first round involves just one simple word document that gives you a chance to tell us why you love your business and what is great about it... and about you. Our judges are all starting off with the firm belief that any young person starting or running their own business in these tough times is a person worth knowing and they will want you to share your experiences, your excitement and your learning with them, in your own words.

As we progress to the second round there is the chance to work for free with a professional video producer who has worked with big corporations, and live acts like Peter Andre, to produce a video about your business. Our winning top three businesses this year will win a cash prize, a fully edited video promoting their business, free advertising, free loyalty card membership for a year and a stand at the Good Living Event as well as the option of business mentoring from any one of the judges.

Put 22nd March in your diary because it might be you stepping up to receive the winner's prize at our awards ceremony held during the Good Living Event, our annual red-carpet evening at Miele Experience Centre, Fairacres, Abingdon-on-Thames.
