“Thanks to everyone connected to the CNU ISS program for giving us the opportunity to experience Korea! All the time and work the staff and volunteers put into the program is appreciated by everyone, as this is an experience I will remember for the rest of my life. At the first day I arrived in Gwangju I was warmly greeted by my buddy at the Gwangju bus Terminal. She made me feel comfortable to the new surroundings and helped me to make a lifelong friendship with the other students, learn about student life in Korea and venture around Gwangju. I hope you Koreans learned as much about our cultures as we learned about yours!”
“CNU ISS colors my life; I had an amazing experience in Chonnam National University in Gwangju, Korea. There was never a dull moment. I feel very happy I can join this summer program, through which I have made many good friends from various countries. On most weekends CNU ISS offered various extracurricular activities. Through these activities I have been able to experience various culture and aspects of Korea. One of the most memorable activities I had is the Homestay. This program enables me to learn the real Korean lifestyle in details. Moreover, I had the chance to learn the traditional Korean table manners, try different Korean delicacies and even manage to learn a little bit of Korean Language. This experience is undeniably meaningful to me and I will never forget it.”

“This program is an excellent opportunity for students to experience the rich culture, history, language and people of South Korea and to meet students from other parts of the world. The International Summer School Program at Chonnam National University supports students from many countries and universities, including those located in United States, Canada, China, Indonesia, Vietnam, Japan and other parts of Southeast Asia. The staff put together a broad range of classes, cultural experiences and visits in a supportive setting to create an environment of non-stop learning. The city of Gwangju is a dynamic and growing hub of commerce, arts and culture within one of the southern provinces in South Korea and provides an excellent context for the program.“
