Jorge Luis Cholula-Díaz, PhD, got his doctorate in Inorganic Chemistry from the University of Leipzig, Germany, in 2013. In 2015, he became faculty member of the School of Engineering and Sciences at Tecnologico de Monterrey, Mexico, where he is a Research Professor. He is leader of an experimental group – the NanoStructured Materials Laboratory – working in the following research areas: synthesis, characterization and biomedical applications of noble metal (Au, Ag & Ag/Au) nanostructures; synthesis of nanocrystalline graphite thin films by aerosol assisted chemical vapor deposition (AA-CVD) for opto-electronic applications; and synthesis and characterization of transition metal oxides as thin films and nanostructures for electrochemical biosensing. Dr. Jorge L. Cholula Díaz is a member of the Mexican National System of Researchers since 2017.
