DESCRIPTION
Unique Opportunities for puils in years 10 & 11 ro experience student lifeTRANSCRIPT
W hat’s it all about? It’s all about getting to know student life a little better and finding out what university can offer you. It doesn’t
matter if you haven’t even thought about going to university or college.
This year Choices Together is running throughout the year! You can be involved in all or any of the
sessions. What’s more we’re handing Choices Together over to you. We want you to name it, give it an identity and help us decide what you will be doing in sessions.
Each session will be held at one of the three Tyne and Wear Universities; that’s
Newcastle University, Northumbria University and University of Sunderland.
During the sessions you’ll get to take part in loads of different activities and try all sorts of things you might not have done before. Don’t worry it’s nothing like school.
You’ll make new friends and maybe learn a few new things along the way. Our current students will be there the whole time too. They’ll help you out, answer questions and generally make
sure we all have a good time.
All of this is funded by Aimhigher so you don’t pay for anything. We will provide transport to and from the events, pay for all activities, the entertainment and food and drink for all sessions in the year.
D ates for your diary Sessions take place out of school time. They’re either straight after school,
or during the holidays. We will arrange your travel and pick you up from home or school, which ever is easiest. We’ll also make sure that you’re given something to eat, so don’t worry about that!
