Council Meetings March 9 April 13 __________________________________ City Holidays April 10– Good Friday Bulk pick-up March 23—27 April 27—May 1 Inside this issue: Chocolate Oat Scotchies 2/3 cup butter or margarine 1 cup packed brown sugar 1/4 cup corn syrup 1/4 cup plus 2/3 cup chunky peanut butter, divided (low-fat or generic brands not recommended) 1 tsp vanilla extract 4 cups quick-cooking oats 1 package (11½ oz) milk chocolate chips 1/2 cup butterscotch chips 1 cup salted peanuts In a saucepan over low heat, melt the butter; stir in brown sugar & corn syrup until the sugar is dissolved. Stir in 1/4 cup peanut butter and vanilla until blended. Add the oats; mix well. Press into a greased 13 x 9 x 2 baking pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 12-15 minutes. Meanwhile, melt the chips & remaining peanut butter; stir in peanuts. Spread over crust. Refrigerate until cool; cut into bars. Yield: 2 dozen

Lake Worth Municipal Court Safe Harbor Initiative

Anyone who has outstanding warrants with the Lake Worth Municipal Court is urged to appear at the court office to resolve their outstanding charges. Defendants that appear in the court office will not be arrested for outstanding warrants issued by the Lake Worth Municipal Court. You may be eligible for alternative ways to payment, such as community service or a reduction in the fine amount.

Your warrants will be recalled, and you will be scheduled to see the Judge to discuss your situation. Please contact the Lake Worth Municipal Court at 817-255-7910 to see if you have any outstanding charges that need to be resolved or if you have any questions.

Just a reminder...

November 7 – February 7 is the time frame used to calculate the new sewer charge for residential water accounts. The new rates are effective April 2020 water bill.

If you had a leak during this time frame and had it repaired, you will need to fill out and submit a request for re-consideration of winter sewer average. Your completed form should be accompanied by proof of the leak being fixed. An acceptable proof of re-pair includes but is not limited to:

a plumber’s invoice or store receipt of parts purchased.
