The Holiday, Chinese New Year, is where you have many resolutions and
customs.

China and a few other countries celebrate the holiday.

Chinese people clean their homes, decorate, and have a new year dinner.
WHEN IS THE HOLIDAY CELEBRATED?
We tend to celebrate New Years on January 1 but in China New Years is celebrated February 19.
WHAT DO THEY COOK?
In China it is a big ordeal to make it a big family thing, they cook lettuce wraps, long noodles, and dumplings, they say this food will bring good luck and good fortune to the household. They also say to never cut the noodles short while eating them or you will not live a long life. The rest of the food is up to that family and what they like.

Yellow: Royalty and power over the throne

On this day many people clean their house, get a haircut, get new clothes, settle disagreements, pay off debts, and get rid of ghosts/bad luck.
CHINESE DECORATIONS
On this day there are many colors that fill the sky and homes, they are made by paper lanterns! Paper lanterns are commonly found on this day! A lot! Paper lanterns usually in the color of red fill streets, skies, and houses.
