treatments to increase its strength

compared with normal glass.

Tempering puts the outer surfaces into

compression and the inner surfaces into

tension. Such stresses cause the glass,

when broken, to crumble into small

granular chunks instead of splintering

into jagged shards as plate glass creates.

The granular chunks are less likely to

cause injury.

Raw Glass Low-E Tempered Heat-soaking Heat soaking glass, is to minimize nickel sulphide inclusions (NSI) which exists in tempered glass. Heat-soak test has been proposed and applied for tempered glass to avoid spontaneous failure in buildings. Following the tempering process, glass is heated to a temperature of about 290C, and then cooled slowly. This process allows the NIS to revert to their original form and thus regain their stability. The idea behind heat soaking is to allow the glass to break in the factory before installation to minimize the risks of accidents and injury. In all probability, the glasses that have NiS inclusions will break during this heat soaking process. Roof or high level glazing, railings, screens and high level curtain walls.

Raw Glass Low-E Tempered Heat-soaking

Low iron glass or Starphire Glass is ultra clear and provides a higher degree of transparency than clear float glass. This optimum clarity is achieved by removing most of the iron oxide content used to produce glass. It can be laminated, tempered. High light transmission and brilliant surfaces make this glass ideal for colored glass applications, frame-less glass installations such as shower doors, glass doors and glass table tops.
