meet anicee

Anicee has a rare brittle bone disease called Osteogenesis Imperfecta and is a patient at Children’s Colorado. Her parents adopted her from Belize and both have the same disease as Anicee. She has had rods placed in her legs, underwent a spinal fusion and is confined to a wheelchair.

Anicee started painting at the age of three when she lived in Belize. Now Anicee is a bright, vivacious 11 year old who loves to paint. Her art has already wowed many, and has been prominently displayed in the Colorado State Capitol and other notable locations!

A special, original piece of Anicee’s art will be presented and auctioned off at the Children’s Gala.

meet noah

Noah was born with a congenital heart defect called pulmonary venous return above the diaphragm. Doctors punctured a hole in his heart for a temporary fix, and eventually did open-heart surgery to permanently repair his defect. Noah is now healthy, talented and a gifted violinist and composer. At the Children’s Gala, Noah is pleased to perform a concerto he has written himself and is thrilled to be “opening” for the Barenaked Ladies!
