UNITED METHODIST WOMEN
Circles will be starting up in September after a summer break. If you are interested in joining a circle, please call Ellen Henson or Harriet Strait. The United Methodist Women will meet together on October 15 for our fall supper. Our featured speaker will be Rev. Susan Leonard-Ray. She is a former member of Memorial and now is the Anderson District Superintendent. We are looking forward to her message. Anyone is welcome to attend. It will be held in the Social Hall on Tuesday, October 15th at 6:30 p.m. Supper will be served, so please come join us. Several members will be attending the district annual meeting in September at Berea Methodist Church. Our unit will be receiving several awards for this year. We are so proud of our members for all they do. Several members will be receiving reading awards. Thank you to Marjorie Mitchell for promoting this program.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> LIBRARY NEWS
Our scheduled library visit for this month will be Sunday, September 22nd. Remember to bring back the stuffed animals and books you checked out in August so that others may enjoy them! >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
CHARGE CONFERENCE
Charge Conference is the annual official body of the local Church that approves and makes legal all actions of Memorial from one year to the next. We receive reports from all staff, administrative committees and ministry teams, such as Finance, Trustees, SPRC, Nominations, Missions, etc. These forms have to be inputted onto the computer and then reviewed with the District Supervisor prior to the meeting. To prepare all this, we need the reports by October 1, 2013, for our meeting. Thank you to everyone in advance for your assistance in preparing for this event.
