IntroductionI chose the topic Childhood Adventure

because it is an underlying theme in the novel, “To Kill A Mockingbird.”

Childhood Adventure are a series of events that help develop and form our character as adults.

I hope to learn how this topic has changed from the 1930s to the present time.

Page 3: Childhood Adventure

Throughout time children have not been able to see the color of a fellow playmate’s skin. Atticus was ahead of his time when he taught Jem and Scout never to judge a person based on the color of their skin.

Page 4: Childhood Adventure

Throughout the ages sibling relationships have been a very important part of childhood.

Page 5: Childhood Adventure

In both current times and in the novel children could always have fun outside.

Page 6: Childhood Adventure

Just like in the novel, children have always enjoyed being in the water.

Page 7: Childhood Adventure

Sadly, hunger remains as part of the challenge facing many children today.

Page 8: Childhood Adventure

Lunchtime has long been the favorite part of many children’s day.

Page 9: Childhood Adventure

Childhood adventures have changed since the Great Depression but other pastimes such as swinging have remained a joyful childhood activity.

Page 10: Childhood Adventure

During the Depression as well as today blowing dandelions is a simple pleasure that children enjoy today.

Page 11: Childhood Adventure

Swings are a pleasure that will never be outdated.

Page 12: Childhood Adventure

Being alone and outdoors was more common in the Great Depression than in current times.

Page 13: Childhood Adventure

Kite flying has been a pastime that has survived centuries and been enjoyed worldwide.

Page 14: Childhood Adventure

The road through childhood is paved with many adventures both now and then.

Page 15: Childhood Adventure

Childhood adventures will eventually come to an end but the ties we have with our siblings will last throughout our lifetime.

ConclusionMy experience in making this project was

educational and informative.I learned that no matter what time frame

you are in certain things never change. For example, the relationship between siblings.

Childhood Adventure will continue to be an important part of people’s lives. Things may change but the basics will remain the same.
