Child Helpline Impact Assessment (CHIA) Advisory Council
2013 objectives of the CHIA:
To provide technical support and guidance to child helplines on matters relating to the conducting of impact assessments
Continuous review of the Child Impact Assessment Manual to ensure it remains current and relevant to the needs of the network
To do an inventory of case studies from across the world on child impact assessments

Council)• Kim Litchfield - BoysTown and Kids Helpline
Australia• Ingrid Srinath - Childline India Foundation

Since the Council met in May, the outcomes have been:
• Drafting of Terms of Reference (TOR) to define the mandate of the Council
• An inventory of case studies and Good Practices across the network has been started
• Assess the level of support that may be given to the child helpline in Norway for conducting their impact assessment

In the coming months the Council would like to:
• Maintain a database of:• members who have conducted impact assessments in
the past • Members who wish to conduct an impact assessment
• Communicate regularly to the membership on the efforts pertaining to child impact assessments (for example via the NING)
