ChidorigakeThe name Chidori-gake istaken from the little Chidoribird (plover, sanderling).Chidori birds walk in azigzag pattern, so steppingstone paths with an offsetpattern are named afterthem.
GanuchiThe literal translation is"flying geese strike". Alonger zigzag pattern,which is said to look likegeese in flight.
