Marwan is an R&B Soul artist from Chicago, by way of Decatur, IL. Born Marwan Akil Abdullah, this self-taught musician (piano/guitar) grew up the youngest of two brothers. Early influences include Stevie Wonder, Boyz II Men, and Take 6. He started singing in high school when he formed a 4-member group (Blynd) with his older brother Ezra and two friends for fun. This group performed at countless shows in the Midwest including various appearances on television and radio. ONE 4 CHRIST There has been much anticipation and excitement as the new sound exudes from the premiere ministry ONE 4 CHRIST, who is adding to the rich legacy and heritage of their home the Mecca of Gospel Music Chicago, Illinois. The 40+ chorale ensemble founded by Sharon R. Bouie is a music ministry on assignment to build and empower the Kingdom of God. The journey for their debut project “God Can Still Use You” began with their first live recording on October 7, 2006, just two short years after the choir’s inception. The project features such homegrown lead vocalist as Evangelist Chrysann Moore, Minister Tim White, and San Franklin. As well as songs penned from A’ric Jackson, Malcolm Williams, and Derral J. Anderson Jr., who serves as the anointed musical director and leader of ONE 4 CHRIST.
