Ald. Cullerton Takes Owner ofAbandoned Lot to Court

Acting on complaints from residents of the3800 Block of N. Page, Ald. Cullerton, a formerChicago Deputy Building Commissioner, calledon the Chicago Departments of Law andBuildings to take court action against theowner of this lot which poses an immediatehealth and safety threat to nearby residents.This open foundation, which has existed in thiscondition for many years, is open andaccessible to neighborhood children, andpresents a number of potential health hazardsfrom stagnant water, including West Nile Virus.The court date is set for Thursday, August 22,2013 at 9:30 AM.
