CONGRATULATIONS CONGRATULATIONS to all the Cherrybrook Athletes who have competed in a Treloar Shield this season. After six rounds Cherrybrook was 3rd overall, 2nd in the Juniors, 13th in the Opens and 3rd in the Masters. It is unclear whether the TS7 round which was cancelled last weekend will be re-arranged. If not these will become the final positions ….. watch this space. CONGRATULATIONS to Julie Charlton on the fabulous coach profile which NSW Athletics published over Christmas. Congratulations particularly to Holly Saunders on becoming Australian Champion (U18 Discus Para) and our silver medallists Jonathan Reid (U18 Triple Jump) and Emilia Duncan (U16 90m Hurdles). Jonathan obliterated the Cherrybrook Record with a leap over 15m. Wow! CONGRATULATIONS to our Club Championships Teams. A fantastic turnout saw the club field 14 teams in 10 different event categories winning 3 Gold, 2 Silver and 3 Bronze medals. Brilliant team spirit, enthusiasm and performances occurred across all our teams but our u11 and U14 teams, which had many members competing for the first time at this level, were simply sensational. Well done! Congratulations to our new State Champions at Club Championships the U11 Female, U14 Female and U20 Male teams. Full results by team are available in the results section of this newsletter. CONGRATULATIONS to the 27 Club Relay Teams who competed at the NSW Relays in November. The club won 5 Silver and 1 Bronze. Full Results are available in the results section of this newsletter. SENIOR ATHLETICS SUMMER GATHERING This seasons Senior Athletics Summer Gathering will take place on Saturday the 11th January from 11am to 6pm. All Senior Cherrybrook Athletes 14yrs plus as well as 12yrs plus athletes that have competed for the club at a senior competition are welcome to attend. Activities, including a water slide as well as lunch and drink will be provided. Guests will be asked to bring an item of food to share. Rsvp to Nicky Jenneke on 0448407716 by the 7th January.

FRIDAY NIGHT CLUB COMPETITION

All senior athletes are welcome to compete on a Friday night at Greenway Oval No2, Shepherds Drive

Cherrybrook. Club announcements commence at 5.45pm, followed by a warm up with competition

commencing at 6.00pm. Friday competition returns this Friday 10th January with program 1. Any athlete

wanting to compete in a non programmed event should contact Nicky Jenneke on 0448407716 before

10am on the Friday of competition.

Senior Athletes should report to Nicky Jenneke (lady on announcements) after the warm up and before

they commence competition.
