Expectations:
• High school students are required to pass four years of PE to graduate (1/2 credit per year). • Be On time : students are expected to be in the locker room when the bell
rings.• All students are expected to stay with the class until the bell rings for
dismissal ( Hallway outside the locker rooms)• If a student cuts class they will receive a zero for that day ( and may not
make the class up)• Students are expected to participate and dress appropriately (according to
school dress code)• Students who are unprepared are still expected to participate in class.• All jewelry should be removed for safety of others and yourself.

Expectations (cont’d)
• For medical excuses – long term and short term, adapted PE can be planned by the student and the teacher in accordance with the doctor’s suggestions. A medical doctor’s adaptations should be signed and dated. If the modifications don’t allow the student to actively participate in class, written work may be assigned.• Personal property should be locked in the lockers and students should
not leave valuables or other possessions outside of their locker. The school is not responsible in the event that they are lost or stolen. If a student is issued a school lock, they are expected to return it in working order at the conclusion of the school year. Failure to do so may result in a replacement charge.

Grading Policy:• Students will have the opportunity to earn 7 points daily. These 7 points will
be based on 4 content areas which are attendance, participation, preparation, and attitude. If a class is missed students will receive a zero for that day until the class is made up at which point students will be able to receive the full 7 points. Student averages will be based on total number of points earned divided by total possible points. Students will have until the end of the marking period (10 weeks) to make up missed classes.

Grading Policy
• Students have the opportunity to earn from 0 to 7 points daily:
• Attendance:1 – Student is present0 – Student is not present
**Students are responsible to make-up any missed class work** • Participation:
2 – Full participation1 – Partial participation0 – No participation
