Lab Lab EquipmentEquipment

Your lab equipment should be:

1. Clean before using it.

2. Checked (if glassware) for cracks, broken edges, and “stars” – discard if damaged.

3. Carefully washed and rinsed, and stored in the proper place when done using it.

Cleaning Cleaning SuppliesSupplies

1. Each lab station has plenty of soap, water, and a sink. Use only a very small amount of soap to wash equipment! And make sure it is all rinsed very well.

2. Wash your hands when finished with lab.

3. Paper towels are located in the back of the room.

4. We also have floor brooms, table brushes, and dustpans for clean up.

The Eyewash is located in the back of the lab between the Safety Shower and the Fume Hood.

Flush your eyes for 15-20 minutes!

Push this handle to turn on the water – it will stay on until you pull it to turn off.

Lots of water will come pouring out from here to rinse chemicals spilled on you.

Pull this handle to activate the safety

shower.
