2012-2013
The CHEErs club members have participated in a 5K run –for AIDS
awareness Program in association with CheyuthaOrganisation on 1st
December 2012.
The various activities organized during the year are-
The Club conducted Intra –College competition AD-WARS i.e. a product was
given to a group 3 girls and they have to advertise and sell their product 17th July
2012.Commerce Spell-O-Mania where in a word is given and various commerce
word had to built on 26th August 2012. Cash prizes were given away to the
winners.
A career counseling session was organized for the Final year students on
Advertising & Marketing in association with Rotract Club on 31st August 2012
A field trip to Mangal Foods-Chocolate Factory was organized for Final Year
B.Com students to get an in-sight on processing, packaging and distribution
process on 1st September 2012
2013-2014
On 19th Feb, 2014 CHEErs club members along with NSS Volunteers went to Govt. High
School, Vijayanagar Colony, to conduct a survey on "Life Style of Govt. School Children”.
Volunteers circulated 200 questionnaires and collected the data pertaining to the working habits
of the students along with their demographic variables.
CHEER’s Club organized a one day intercollegiate fest – “Jamboree 2013” was held on
14th December 2013 to unwrap the hidden talents among the youth.
The day commenced with inauguration of the event by Sister Principal.
The events “Biz Quiz Hawk” and “Marketing Plan” were conducted.
“Biz Quiz Hawk” was conducted by professional quizzer Mr. E.M Bhargava of K-
Circle, Hyderabad, where 20 teams from top most colleges in the city actively
participated.
First prize in Business Quiz was bagged by Badruka College, Second also by Badruka
College and Third prize was won by Loyola Academy.
In Marketing Plan – M.S College bagged First prize whereas St. Ann’s girls bagged the
Second prize.
Winners were rewarded with attractive cash prizes.
Prof. Krishna Kumar and Prof. Patrick from Osmania University were the esteemed
judges for the Marketing Plan event.
The Fest was a grand slam and a huge success, and it was very gratifying to see such
enthusiastic participation.
2014-2015
The Commerce House of Emerging Entrepreneurs (CHEErs)Cluba wing of the department of
Commerce works with a Motto “Knowledge is Investment”. A Voluntary Association of
commerce students functions for the betterment of its members by
Inculcating entrepreneurial skills in young minds.
Sensitizing them to the needs of the society.
The various activities conducted during the year are –
On 15th July, 2014 the club organized “Sketch-o-Rama” to enhance the business
knowledge of the students in the form of art.
On 29th July, 2014 an event “Being Entrepreneur” was held to polish the entrepreneurial
skills of the students.
On 13th August, 2014 as month reminds us about independence “Call of Duty” a collage
competition was conducted, in which participants have shown the consequences of a war
in a country.
On 4th September, 2014 “Mind Bloggers” a business quiz was conducted, where in
students knowledge about the brands and current affairs was challenged.
On 18th September, 2014”Word Mania” a cross word puzzle was organized by the club.
This was a challenge to display the knowledge of the business Environment.

Besides developing entrepreneurial skills, CHEE’rsclub also makes an attempt to sensitize
the youth to the needs of the society.On 10th December, 2014 members of a club visited
‘RadhaKishan Home’ an orphanage where they had a pleasure to interact and distribute
snacks to under privileged children. It was a blissful experience to win smiles on young
faces.

2015-2016
The various activities conducted during the year are —
On 3rd August, 2015 CHEE’rs Club organized its first event ‘Brand by Hand’
competition where the participants had to paint the logo of the brand given to them by
hand. A number of students participated and showcased their creativity.
9th August, 2015 students participated in CSR 5K WALK at Necklace Road. The f the
walk was to create health awareness and reduce pollution in the society.
On 31st August 2015, ‘Business Quiz’ was held to enlighten students about various
aspects of business world and encourage their business acumen.
On 8th September 2015, ‘Radio Advertisement’ competition was held to enhance the
Marketing and Advertising skills of the students. It was a fun activity and students
participated with great enthusiasm.
On 24th September, 2015 ‘Word Mania’ a cross word puzzle was organized by the club.
The intent of the competition was to enhance students’ cognitive capacity and enhance
the knowledge about the business environment
On 24th November, 2015 CHEE’rs Club conducted an OUTREACH activity. The
Volunteers and the incharge Lecturers visited “Anuraag Human Services”(A home for
Mentally Challenged and Elderly People) at Tolichowki. The Volunteers entertained the
kids by Dance performance and conducted some fun games. They interacted with the
elderly people and entertained them by singing and games.

On 21st December 2015, a one day fest ‘Jamboree-2015’ was held to unveil the talent
and creativity of the youth. As a part of the event two Competitions were conducted. The
details are as follows: 1) Best out of waste (Theme: Business Model) 2) Maarish: “The
Role Play of a Finance Manager”. The objective of the events was to motivate students
to think laterally.
On 23rd January 2016, as a part of Outreach activity the Club has put up a stall of
handloom products prepared by the inmates of “Shantiniketan” of Kolkota being
organised by a retired bank employee in the college premises and the CHEErs club
members helped the team in organizing the stall.
2016-2017
Adopted three school children from Vijaya Lakshmi School
CHEErs club members will pay the school fees, purchase books and uniform and assist them in
their academics by constantly monitoring their performance in school.
Knowledge is Investment
The Commerce House of Emerging Entrepreneurs (CHEErs) Club, a wing of the Department of
Commerce works with the motto, “Knowledge is Investment”. A voluntary association of
commerce of students, functions for the betterment of its members by inculcating entrepreneurial
skills in young minds, sensitizing them to the needs of the society.
The various activities conducted during the year are:
Name the Brand Competition
On July 21, 2016, the first call from the club saw tremendous response from the students, with
over a hundred and ninety pairs participating to guess the logos of various global brands.The
winners were Maneeza&Kavyashree of B. Com First year and the runner-ups were
Mrunal&Soundarya of B. Sc Second year.
Wordsaurus
On August 28, 2016, the game of writing as many synonyms as possible of a commerce term was
received with enthusiasm. The hundred teams were bought down to seven to declare Mehjabeen,
Sharrdah, &Priyanka as winners and Kanchan, Sanskruthi&Kiran as the runner-ups.
JAM Session
The JAM Session was conducted on October 29, 2016, with over fifteen teams participating.
SyedaHafsaMansoor Shah &Madiha Ayesha of B. Com 1B bagged the first prize and Annet Sam
&HuumaFathima of B.A Final year wee the runner-ups.
Young Managers
On December 5, 2016, the participants were given various situations such as a workplace drug
abuse, expansion of a firm under difficult circumstances, asa part of this competition. The
winners were RidaSiddiqui and Bushra Fatima from B.Sc. (NCB) first year. The runner –ups
were DivyaSamdani and Gayathri of B.Com (Finance) second year.
Jamboree - 2016
An inter-collegiate competition was conducted on December 17, 2016. The competitions held
under this banner were “Commerce Quiz’ and ‘Marketing Maniac’. The event saw great response
from various colleges of the twin cities, with many teams turning up for the competitions with
great zeal and enthusiasm.
The Commerce Quiz covered many aspects of demonetization, trade and commerce and its
allies. The winners for the commerce quiz Sadeem Sultana and DivyaSamdani from St. Ann’s ;
the runner-ups were Fatima and Asma-Al Husna of M.S Degree College. The third prize was a
tie between Mohammed Hasheem and Ansari Firhad of Shadan Degree College and Yash Chopra
and VishwanathSuraj of Aurora DegreeCollege.
Marketing maniacbrought out the expertise of students in promoting a product. The students
were shown an object and they had to put their persuading skills to test and they had to endorse
it. The title of Marketing Maniac was bagged by Pritvi Reddy and MohakAgarwal of Aurora
Degree College. The first runners-up were Nikhil Chatruvedi and RajatSehgal of Aurora Degree
College and Saba Fathima and Saba of St. Ann’s Degree College were hailed as the second
runners-up.
2017-2018
The CHEE’rsClub, a wing of the department of Commerce works with a motto
“Knowledge is Investment”, aims at providing an overview of the business world and
develops the entrepreneurial skills among the students, apart from their academics. The
club has organized various competitions to unwrap the skills and talent of the students
from all the streams.
On 10th July 2017, as a part of Outreach activity the club has put up a stall of handloom
products prepared by inmates of Shatiniketan, Kolkota in the college premises
On 22th July, 2017 the club organized “Business Quiz” to enlighten students about
various aspects of business world and encourage their business acumen.
On 11th October, 2017 an event “Crisis Management” was held to polish the problem
solving skills of the students
On 27th October, 2017“Brand by Hand” Competition was conducted, where participants
had to paint the logo of a brand by hand without using any Painting tools
On 21th December, 2017 a one day fest “Jamboree-2017”was held to unveil the talent of
the youth. As a part of the fest “Turn coat” and “Sudoku” competitions were conducted
where 30 students have actively participated from various streams of the college
First and second prize was bagged byDivya for Turn Coat and V.Pavani for Soduku
On July 3rd 2018, ST. Ann’s College for women; Department of Commerce organised its
first activity for the year 2018-19 under CHEERs Club (Commerce House of Emerging
Entrepreneurs).
As CHEERs Club focuses on contributing about the business world, they came up with an
activity called as “Cooperate Dictionary”.
Cooperate Dictionary is a game where the participant is given 2 pictures and both pictures join to
make up to a word. And throughout the game all the answers would be related to cooperate
world.
The game had 4 rounds where each round had different type of questions but overall the concept
was same. The whole game was a buzzer round for all the questions.
The participants for the game were supposed to be a team of two, and the rules of the game were
very easy as it was point based. In the first round, for a right answer it was 5m and wrong answer
-2m and pass was +2m
For the second round it was 10m for a right answer,-5m for wrong answer and +5m for a pass
answer.
For the final round it was only one question which carried 15m for right answer and the wrong
attempt would cost them 10 points.
There were a total of 40 teams gathered to participate which made the elimination process
difficult for the organisers. All the students were filled with excitement and enthusiasm while
answering the questions.
The game ended with last of 5 teams left for the final round where only the first three with the
highest points would be prized. And they were:
1 prize: Krishna Priya and SaniaArjun
2 prize: ZainabFathima and RabiyaNooreen
3 prize: Harshita Mittal and Vinuthna
The participants showed great sportsmanship and appreciated the event. The participating spirit
only encouraged CHEERs club to come up with more participants.
On July 14th 2018, St .Ann’s college for women, as a part of its outreach activity,
CHEERs club, (Commerce House of Emerging Entrepreneurs) had put up stalls of
Shantiniketan products and Pochampally textiles.
Shantiniketan products consist of handbags, jute bags, wallets etc. Their products were
completely of new styles, they were different and unique. The sarees, dress materials put up by
Pochampally textiles made of new designs. They were many new styles of sarees which matched
to the new styles of fashion.
The Pochampally stall was rushed and occupied with our faculty where most of them bought
sarees which led to insufficient stock for the Pochampally seller.
The students showed much interest in buying the products, not only the students but also the
faculty also participated in purchasing of many sarees. There was an amazing response from the
campus.
The whole event was supported by volunteers who helped the vendors who came for selling and
also the faculty and students with great enthusiasm.
St Ann’s college for women; Department of Commerce, as a part of its outreach activity
CHEE’rs club (commerce house of emerging entrepreneurs) had visited “ANURAAG
HUMAN SERVICES” at towlichowki to contribute some necessities to the organization
from our college. The club collected contributions in this regard.

An Anuraag human service is a center for disabled and aged people. It provides a day care and
residential training to the disabled children, home for the aged people who are above 60 years.
All the students and faculty made their contribution in the form of cash and kind. They were a
huge response from all of them. We received about $3500 cash and large amount of items i.e.
soaps detergent, biscuits etc. With the cash amount we purchased the grocery items that are
necessary to the organization.
On 30th July, 2018 we visited the Anuraag human services taking all the necessities required for
them. Apart from faculty 20 students accompanied. The students interacted with the aged people
in the organization and enquired about the facilities provided to them. They were very happy
sharing their feelings and opinions with the students.
The children in the organization were enthusiastic. They played and danced along with
students. They were very active and showed great interest in interacting with the students.
Everyone showed great interest appreciated the event. We are honored to have such events
organized by CHEE’rs club and hoping to have many more events like this
