«The Motorcycle Diaries» is a biographical film about the life of Ernesto Che Guevara. He was a very important man in Argentina.

The film shows us the expedition that made Che Guevara and his friend Alberto Granado in South America.

To play his role, Gael Garcia Bernal spent a lot of time in Cuba, speaking with Che Guevara’s family. He also read all Che Guevara’s biography. It maybe explain why he played brightly his role.

Che Guevara and Granado’s travel

They desire to see as much of Latin America as they can, more than 8,000 kilometers, in just four and a half months. Their initial method of transport is Granado's motorcycle whose name is “la Poderosa ”("The Mighty One").They first go to Peru and work in a leper colony. Their planned route is ambitious, bringing them north across the Andes, along the coast of Chile, through the Atacama Desert and into the Peruvian Amazon in order to reach Venezuela just in time for Granado's 30th birthday on April 2nd. Later, they also travel to Chile and Bolivia.

During the trip, Che Guevara will realize that there is a lot of inequality, poverty y misery in this countries.

He will help a lot of people and later will fight for equals rights.
