To opt for re-designating of your residentaccount to NRO account without change in Customer IDand account number.Swapnil N: C. PRADEEP: procedure//Swapnil N: I would request you to write an email [email protected] for close to your demat account.Swapnil N: Let me explain you the procedure &documents required to open an NRE / NRO account.Swapnil N: In order to open an NRE/NRO account, youwill have to fill up the application form and send the hardcopies of the forms to our Mumbai head office.Swapnil N: Documents required are as follows:Swapnil N: Passport copy (1st and Last Page).Swapnil N: Copy of Valid visa/ work permit.Swapnil N: Address proof (Indian or Overseas anyone).Swapnil N: One overseas additional document (Suchas Original Bank Statement, Credit Card Statement,Utility Bill, Job id Copy, Driving License etc.).Swapnil N: One passport photograph.Swapnil N: For address proof we can accept copy ofPassport(Indian or Overseas), Driving License-(Indian/Overseas), Voter's ID card issued by Electioncommission of India, letter issued by UIDAI containingdetails of name, address and Aadhaar number.Swapnil N:A cheque or Draft worth 10000 INR orequivalent amount in foreign currency as opening balancein your account.

Swapnil N: In case of demand draft, you have to alsosend the original acknowledgment slip of demand draft.Swapnil N: Foreign currency cheque takes 21international working days to clear, cheque clearancecharge of INR 200 and conversion charges + Service taxwill be charged for the same.Swapnil N: Exchange rates are variable the rateapplicable to your remittance / foreign currency cheque isbased on the rate prevailing on the day your funds areconverted into rupees.Swapnil N: If you wish to Re-designate resident accountto NRO and open a new NRE account, you would needto submit two set of documents along with two cheques

or demand drafts, one of NRE savings account and onefor NRO savings account.Swapnil N: If balance in your resident account is rs.11000 or above, then there is no need to provide anyinitial payment.Swapnil N:After receiving the document in India, ittakes approximately 7-10 working days for the account toget opened, if there are no pending/requirement.Swapnil N: Self attestation is required on all thesupporting documents whether it is original or photocopies.PRADEEP: okSwapnil N: Request you to contact customer support
