PHRASES
FIXTURE – much-used word for a concluded agreement between the Owners and Charterer for sea transport of cargo or T/C OUT
FIXED – much-used word to describe that a fixture has been made, and/or that a specific vessel is to lift a particular cargo
NOMINATED – much-used word to indicate that a specific vessel is scheduled to lift a particular cargo, often a COA (contact of Affreightment) cargo
ORDER CARGO TO NEAREST xx TONS – when cargo is delivered alongside by railway wagon, the cargo must be loaded to the nearest full wagon
REVERT /REVERING - further information will follow later
STEMMED – much-used word for “ORDERED”
SUB-CHARTERER – a company taking a vessel on T/C from the Charterer
SUBSTEM / SUBJECT STEM – depends upon commodity being available in sufficient quantity on time
T/C IN – vessel on T/C to the Owners
T/C OUT – vessel on T/C from the Owners to another company /Subcharterer
