For instance, it is curiosity that inspired some of historys greatest and most accomplished scientists, such as Galileo, whose curiosity in the concept of celestial bodies inspired him to be the first to use the German, Hans Lipperheys invention of the telescope, to study the formation of our solar system. Logic: A scientist should posses a good level of logical thinking and be systematic in their approaches to solving mathematical related problems. Furthermore, this systematic approach to work is essential when keeping a record of data and processing results. Open-minded and free of bias: For instance a scientist should be open-minded enough to realise that sometimes hypothesises have to be altered or even discarded. A scientist should also possess a sense of intellectual honesty and admit if his work has been inspired or aided by a fellow scientist. Persistence is also a key attribute to a scientist; it could take years for any discoveries or breakthroughs to be made. A scientist must also reveal a sense of creativity encompassed in their critical approaches. Most importantly, a scientist should not jump to conclusions and fully establish their hypothesis with evidence to back their theory before announcing their findings. A scientist should also always remain rational . A scientist should always be willing to suspend any judgement until they are completely sure of their results. Finally, a scientist should be willing to try new and innovative approaches to reach their desired results.

CHARACTERISTICS OF SCIENTISTS

Curiosity: A scientist must portray some sort of curiosity about either the world in general of a

specific area that is of interest to the. For instance, it is curiosity that inspired some of historys

greatest and most accomplished scientists, such as Galileo, whose curiosity in the concept of celestial

bodies inspired him to be the first to use the German, Hans Lipperheys invention of the telescope, to

study the formation of our solar system.

Logic: A scientist should posses a good level of logical thinking and be systematic in their approaches

to solving mathematical related problems. Furthermore, this systematic approach to work is essential

when keeping a record of data and processing results.

Open-minded and free of bias: For instance a scientist should be open-minded enough to realise that

sometimes hypothesises have to be altered or even discarded.

A scientist should also possess a sense of intellectual honesty and admit if his work has been inspired

or aided by a fellow scientist.

Persistence is also a key attribute to a scientist; it could take years for any discoveries or

breakthroughs to be made.

A scientist must also reveal a sense of creativity encompassed in their critical approaches.

Most importantly, a scientist should not jump to conclusions and fully establish their hypothesis

with evidence to back their theory before announcing their findings.

A scientist should also always remain rational.

A scientist should always be willing to suspend any judgement until they are completely sure of their

results.

Finally, a scientist should be willing to try new and innovative approaches to reach their desired

results.

Today, as the year progresses, more and more plants are lacking of nutrients to provide to the consumers. Their natura

nutrients are being stripped off by chemical fertilizers that are unknowingly harmful. So the researcher thought of a Chicken

Feather, a substance found in Chickens.

Chicken production increases every year. The feathers are being taken out from the chicken before to give to the

consumers. Chicken Feathers are not mostly being used, but the feathers can be useful in ornamentations, being used as an

embellishment. Not being known by everyone, Chicken Feathers may solve the problem regarding the use of harmful chemica

fertilizers. Thus, save the people from being slowly poisoned from dangerous chemicals placed in fruits and vegetables.

The researcher chose to do the study to solve the problems involving the use of chemical fertilizers. For it is better to

use organic substances rather than man-made, synthetic chemicals. It also may find a better and a more economical way to

use Chicken Feathers, saving time and money for farmers. This study may also replace Chicken Feathers being branded as an

Organic Waste.

A.  Statement of the Problem

The main objective is to evaluate the Chicken Feathers as Organic Fertilizer.

Generally, the research will test the effectiveness of the feathers as a fertilizer.

1.  Are the nutrients found in the feathers can help the plant?

2.  Do the Chicken feathers have Nitrate Compounds that may help boost the plant?

3.  Is the Chicken Feathers effective as an alternative organic fertilizer?

B.  Hypothesis

1.  The nutrients found in the Chicken Feathers are not helpful to the plant.

2.  The Chicken Feather has nitrate compounds that may help boost the plants in the soil

3.  The Chicken Feathers is not affective as an organic fertilizer.

C.  Significance of the Study

This study will benefit farmers, who are facing the problems with the use of dangerous chemical fertilizers that

may harm them. They will also benefit with the use of chicken feathers as fertilizers as they have an abundant

supply of it. This will intend to help them become resourceful to their supplies.

D.  Scope and Limitation

The research study will focus only in evaluating the nitrate compound in the Chicken Feathers as fertilizer. The

planned duration of the study will be conducted in a month. The experimental procedures will be going to be done in

the Billones residence in Wood Estate Village II, Molino 3, Bacoor, Cavite.

The study will not discuss further the mineral content of the feathers. The study will not discuss the type of soi

that will be going to be used.

E.  Definition of Terms

1.  Chicken Feathers- It serves to protect the chicken. Used to insulate birds from water and temperature.

2.  Soil- It is composed of particles of broken rock that have been altered by chemical and environmental

processes that include weathering and erosion.

3.  Fertilizer- It is a substance that supplies plants with nutrients.
