Chapter Ten

Rev. 10:1 - And I saw another mighty

angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a

rainbow was upon his head, and his face was like the

sun, and his feet like pillars of fire:

Rev. 10:2a And he had in his hand a little book

open:

10:2b…and he set his right foot

upon the sea, and his left foot on the

earth,

3 And he cried with a loud voice, like a lion

roaring. And when he had cried, seven

thunders spoke their

sounds.

Rev. 10:4 - And when the seven thunders had uttered their

voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven

saying unto me, Seal up those things which

the seven thunders uttered, and write

them not.

10:5 And the angel which I

saw stand upon the sea and

upon the earth lifted up his

hand to heaven,

6 And swore by him that

lives for ever and ever, who

created heaven, and

the things that are in it,

and the earth, and the things that are in it,

and the sea, and the things which

are in it, that there should be time no longer:

Rev. 10:7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the

mystery of God should be finished, as he has declared to his servants the prophets.

Rev. 10:8 And the voice which I heard from heaven spoke to me again, and said, Go and take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel which stands upon the sea and upon the land.

Rev. 10:9 And I went to the angel, and said to him, Give me the little book. And he said to me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make your stomach bitter, but it shall be sweet as honey in your mouth.

Rev. 10:10 And I took the little book out of the angel's hand, and ate it; and it was sweet as honey in my mouth : and as soon as I had eaten it, my stomach was bitter.

You must prophesy again

before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and

kings.

Rev. 10:11 And he said to

me,

Rev. 11:1 - I was given a reed like a measuring rod and was told, "Go and

measure the temple of God and the altar, and count the worshipers there.

But exclude the outer court; do not measure it, because it has been given to the Gentiles.

They will trample on the holy city for 42 months.” Rev. 11:2

And I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for 1,260 days, clothed

in sackcloth. Rev. 11:3

These are the two olive trees and the two lamp stands that stand before the Lord of the

earth. Rev. 11:4

If anyone tries to harm them, fire comes from their mouths and devours their enemies. This is how anyone who wants to harm them must

die. Rev. 11:5

These men have power to shut up the sky so that it will not rain during the time

they are prophesying;

and they have power to turn the waters into blood and to strike the earth with every kind of plague as often as

they want. Rev. 11:6

Now when they have finished their testimony, the beast that comes up from the Abyss will attack them, and overpower and kill them.

Rev. 11:7

Their bodies will lie in the street of the great city, which is figuratively called Sodom and Egypt, where also their Lord was crucified. Rev. 11:8

For three and a half days men from every people, tribe, language and nation will gaze on their bodies and refuse them burial.

Rev. 11:9

The inhabitants of the earth will gloat over them and will celebrate by sending each other

gifts, because these two prophets had tormented those who live on the earth.

Rev. 11:10

But after the three and a half days a breath of life from God entered them, and they stood

on their feet, and terror struck those who saw them. Rev. 11:11

Then they heard a loud voice from heaven Then they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, "Come up here." And they saying to them, "Come up here." And they

At that very hour there was a severe earthquake and a tenth of the city collapsed.

Seven thousand people were killed in the earthquake, and the survivors were terrified and gave glory to the God of heaven.

The second woe has

passed; the third woe is

coming soon. Rev. 11:14
