bringing them in to effect in order to save our Planet Earth

Forest Department / BBMP / Environment Department:

1. Plant more carbon dioxide absorbing plants in all plantable lands in urban areas

and make efforts to ensure that 33% land area is under green belt.

2. Protect tanks and lakes, forests, common public lands, etc. from encroachment

and recover back encroached areas.

3. Create awareness among public regarding need for green belt and forest areas.

4. Give more thrust on propagation of smokeless chullas in rural households.

5. Sensitize elected representatives and public regarding need for urgently

arresting pollution and protecting our invaluable forests and its bio-diversity.

6. Govt. should ensure industrial and hospital sectors compliance of pollution and

environmental laws.

Transport Department / Energy Department

1. Solar based battery charging centres should be opened like petrol bunks, so that

plying of electrical vehicles by public will be encouraged.

2. Replace conventional public transport buses with electrical buses to encourage

EC and thereby reduce pollution in and around Bengaluru and other major

urban areas.

3. Provide local mass transit trains in Bengaluru similar to Mumbai and Chennai.

4. Expand Metro Rail network all over Bengaluru.
