Asexual- involves 1 parent

3. Response to Stimuli- a reaction to an actionStimulus- something

that causes a reaction or a responseEx: You shiver

when your cold

Aka.. SENSITIVITY

4. Growth- to develop emotionally & physically over timeCells multiply

Cells get larger (1x celled organisms)

5. Movement- internal or external motionEx: running, heart

beating, blood flowing, flowers bending toward sun, trees move water from ground to leaves

6. Excretion- to get rid of waste Ex: animals go to the

“bathroom”, trees release oxygen from leaves

7. Nutrition- to get basic needs met (food, water, nutrients)

Organism- any living thing

Homeostasis- regulation of an organism’s internal conditions, despite change in the environment Ex: keeping right

amount of food, sugar & water in cells

Ex: keeping body temp around 98.6 degrees F
