March 21st, 2013 Students and Disabilities Computers can help meet the needs of all students and especially those students with special needs. The adaptation of hard work or software to help a student is called Adaptive or Assistive Technology. IPP-‐ Individual Program plan or IEP-‐ modifies a student’s curricular goals and outcomes. Technology can enhance the learning of both of these groups. Computer access and equity Pen vs. Computer Who has the advantage? Computer people especially in the home environment.
