Vocation can be something you do for pay or not. Vocation requires action on your part and includes recreational activities.

Occupation is work you do for pay and require action on your part.

Occupation/vocation relates to what you do.

-Examples: grocery clerk, skateboarder, babysitter, basketball player, musician, artist, clerk, waiter.
