Sometimes celebrities and corporations make a mistake…or ten…and have to change the public’s

opinion

1. Corporations are constantly trying to maintain or repair a good reputation and

public relations plays a large part in achieving this goal

2. Media relations: it is important organizations effectively tell their stories and establish rapport

with business editors and reporters

3. Customer relations: it is important customers are satisfied because it builds

loyalty and positive word of mouth

4. Investor relations: Key audiences for these efforts are financial analysts, individual and

institutional investors, shareholders, prospective shareholders, and the financial media.

5. Environmental relations and corporate philanthropy have a positive impact on the

public image of a corporation
