River of Kings

Since ancient times, the Chao Phraya River has been the life-blood of Thailand. Long ago, it served the irrigation process, transportation of products and facilitated international trade allowing ancient Siam to become one of the wealthiest kingdoms in the world.

Travelling in extravagant barges the king could easily travel the rivers and canals to quickly reach most parts of the kingdom. This regal travel earned the river the name 'The River of Kings'.

Wat Arun (The Temple of Dawn)

Wat Arun is a Buddhist temple in Bangkok Yai district and it is one of Bangkok’s best recognized landmarks.

Also, Wat Arun is famous for it’s uniquely decorated multi coloured Chinese Porcelain.

Bang Pa-In

Bang Pa-In is located in the Chao Phraya River in Bang Pa-In district, Ayutthaya Province.

Bang Pa In Palace was used as a country residence by the Ayutthayan Royal Families.

The palace consist of various unique buildings, such as the Chinese style pavilion and the famous Thai pavilion in the middle of the lake.

Wat Panancherng

Wat Panancherng is one of the largest and most oldest temples in Ayutthaya.

The temple was constructed in 1324 and was identified with one of the early kingdoms of Siam.

Wat Phra Si Sanphet

Wat Phra Si Sanphet is the most important monastery located in Ayutthaya’s grand palace and the three bell-shaped chedis of Wat Phra Si Sanphet have become a symbol of Ayutthaya.
