Changes In Our Lifetime with Howard Shurdut Thursday, January 30 at 2:00 p.m.

Many could argue that advances made in women’s rights are the crowning achieve-ment during their lifetime. However, the

changes go far beyond one such momentous area of human development. Business, technology, demo-graphics, energy alternatives, public morality, privacy, security, and ethics are all significant matters we MUST discuss to understand if we are to function in this new world in which we find ourselves.

Why The “War on Terror” is Not WorkingTuesday, January 28 at 2:00 p.m.The so-called “War on Terror” seems not to be working. Despite the staggering financial and human costs, terrorism continues to thrive. Thomas DiCarlo witnessed the 9/11 Twin Tower attacks, surviving only due to a twist of fate that kept him from a meeting inside one of the towers. The trauma changed him forever and caused him to consider the motivations of terrorism and ineffective ways in which the Western world has tried to combat it. He along with his sister, Connie D. Atkinson were inspired to write a new thriller, The Brotherhood of Purity, that explores these themes.

It’s All About LOVEwith Diane Hoffman

Sunday, February 9 at 2:00 p.m.Almost every entry in the American Song Book deals with, what else? LOVE! The shades of love are limitless and so there is a bottomless well of inspiration for the

songwriter’s pen: love dreamt of; love longed for; love found; love afire, love grown cold; love lost; love mourned. This show presents a sampling of the most successfully expressive love songs. Many are from the golden period of songwriting which stretches from the nineteen thirties into the nineteen sixties, but more recent works are represented as well. Tunes include: “What Is This Thing Called Love”, “So In Love”, “The Man That Got Away”, “At Long Last Love”, “When Your Lover is Gone” and many more wonderful tunes!
