Imagine if everybody
asked themselves…
What they could do to have the Maximum positive impact on the world…
and actually did it?
In 2000 I created “World Reconciliation Day”
And met my hero!
But “there was still
something missing.”
So, I decided to work on a new project
I wanted to help the poorest people
I found them at the bottom of the Human Development Index
In 2004, I went to Mali
I decided to help a village in the north
they were poorer than people in south
Really poor
poor
There were many ways to help but…
What’s the “best” solution?
Do the things that will have the
MAXIMUMPOSITIVE
IMPACT
For this village of 1,400 people,
It was their firsthealth center
and electricity (solar) for the first time
Yes, that’s me.
Shouldn’t we ask the IMPACT question for every nonprofit project?
Or…for life in general?
What if everyone lived their lives in way
that had Maximum
positive impact
on the world?
Sounds like a lifefull of
purpose!
But, maybe devoid of fun?
WE NEED FUN, ANDPASSION!
But…if you only pursue your passion,
“there’s something missing. Purpose!”
The solution?
Use your passion to
maximize your impact!(Like these guys)
While writing a book about MPI,
I realized That I have
To practice my own philosophy
I imagined an organization whose sole reason for existing was to have the biggest possible impact on the world,
so I created it and called it…
A new kind of organization, part for profit,
part non profit &
part whatever we have to be to achieve our goal.
We will do it by
helping individuals maximize their impact
on their own lives and on the world.
How?
iimagine.org will provide tools that help people
learn more about themselves, make better decisions,
connect with other people on the same journey.
The more successful they are,
the more successful we are.
Helping a million people pursue their passion and have an impact
would be cool.
But…
What if we could inspire just 0.1% of that million to..
“GO BIG”?
One extraordinary person can change the world.
This would be
1,000extraordinary people!
What if 1 million members &1,000 extraordinary people
were small numbers?
Are you starting to see what’s at stake?
We are at a point time in history
where we need new thinking
And the courage to implement it
We need to redefine success as
a person’s impact on the world,
not their bank account
Do you want to be part of something
bigger?
Creating something extraordinary requires
HEAVY LIFTING!We need your help.
People that help at this early stage
will be designated as
“rain makers”
iimagine.org and the book
will launch in October, 2014
in Los Angeles
