CHANGING PLACES

What is it?

Changing Places has been running in Cheshire East

since 2005. The course is 10 sessions plus 3 pre group

and 3 post group sessions.

Each session is 1-2 hours long, it can be run in a group

or one to one

There are NO lectures ,It is an interactive relaxed

atmosphere where EVERYONE has a chance to speak

and learn.

Young people who complete the course report:

Feeling Calmer

Being Happier

Having Fewer Arguments

Why is it needed?

It is designed to support Young People by building up

their confidence and improving their relationships. We

offer young people alternatives to VIOLENCE to try to

solve lives problems. Young people who have

attended the programme say it gives them a place to

talk openly and honestly

for?

Young People in Cheshire area, Age 14-21 Years

Who delivers it?

The programme is coordinated by Crewe Women’s

Aid and delivered by a range of partners across

Cheshire East Domestic Abuse Partnership.

Where does it

run?

At different venues across Cheshire East

How long is it? 2 hours per week for 10 weeks plus 3 pre group and 3

post group sessions.

Who would refer?

Anyone working with survivors of domestic abuse. We

also accept self referrals for this course
