Below are the images I am going to use for my "Shop" page. I have a feeling that the shop page is going to be really basic because I do not have the funds to purchase a shopping basket extension for Dreamweaver. I don't really know how I will make the page seem as authentic as possible so I might have to provide users with an e-mail address of where they can place their orders rather than a basket.

I decided to get some pictures from the internet but to avoid copyright, I changed the colours in the image and also included the sources.

Method:

I used Adobe Photoshop CS6 to change the colours of the following objects. On the next few slides, I will give you a step by step tutorial.

Step 1

I opened the image I wanted to manipulate in Photoshop as my background image.

I then right clicked on the background layer and clicked on “duplicate layer” to create another layer with the same image.

I then went to the bottom panel and clicked on a folder icon to “create a new group”.

Step 2 Once I created a group

folder, I pressed the “Q” letter on my keyboard to go into “Quick Mask” mode.

Once the quick mask mode is enabled, I used the small circle highlighter tool to highlight the colours I want to change on the image.

Once I finished, I pressed “Q” again to exit the quick mask mode.

Step 3

Then I click on “Select” on top of the page and scroll down to“Inverse”.

By clicking on “Inverse”, I am letting Photoshop know that the highlighted parts of the image are the only colours I want to change.

Once that is done, I click on “Hue/Saturation” under “Adjustments” and changed the hue to +180. The blue coloured parts of the image are now a deep red.
