How To Change Participant Type From Participant To Analyst / Compensation Administrator

Application Default Nature:When submitting Import Participant, the default participant type isParticipant.If user did not change the participant type toCompensation Administrator, then the participant will not be classified as anANALYST.Starting with Release 9 Patch Bundle # 8, user can now use theParticipant Detail Importprocess to change the participant type.Solution:To switch the participant typeto analyst (or reverse), the participant to be converted has the following restrictions:

1. Participant Type cannot be changed as there are credits associated. Navigator > Manage Credits Search on Credit Receiver Reassign the credit receiver to another participant on these direct credits. Run Revert Transactions process.2. Participant Type cannot be changed as there are associated credit rules. Navigator > Participant Assignments > Manage Direct Credit Rules Search for Rule that contains participant and remove the participant from the Rule's Credit Receivers.

3. Participant Type cannot be changed as there are compensation plan assigned. Navigator > Participant Snapshots > Select Participant > Manage Compensation Plan Remove the compensation plan assigned to participant.4. Participant Type cannot be changed as the participant has disputes. Login as the analyst that was assigned to participant. Navigator > Participant Snapshots > Overview > Worklist Process or delete any open dispute for this participant.Sample Screen shots:Navigator > Participant Assignments > Manage Analyst Assignments ... shows participant "Rep3 Kim" as a Participant
