Easy Day Trip: Glendalough

Glendalough comes from the Irish Gleann D Locha, which means valley ofthe two lakes. It is the site of a monastery founded by St. Kevin, the ruins fowhich visitors can wander through. Beyond the monastery are many hours

worth of hiking trails, leading into the lovely hills beyond the lakes a short one

even leads to a little waterfall. There is a small visitors centre with toilets and aninformations display, but no food, so be sure to pack plenty of snacks and water!
