The Southern Georgian Bay Chamber of Commerce is currently evaluating the Business
Before 9 meetings. Please take a moment to send an email to [email protected] to
provide your input on the event.
Genova Ceramic Tiles Corp is a small Tile Showroom that opened its doors just over a year ago, in Waubaushene. They are importers of some of the most highly sought-after tiles in the world from Italy, Spain, Portugal, Dubai, and Brazil. They put special care in bringing only the best qualities available in the market, and won't compromise that commitment.
They specialize in porcelain and ceramic tiles, some of the tools required for the do-it-yourself guy, and carry the smallest of mosaics to large slab porcelain tiles. Good quality products last decades without fading.
Visit the showroom and be surprised of the fantastic quality you can purchase within your budget. There is no longer a reason to go to Toronto to look for style, quality and good looking tiles. Shop locally and save.

Red Tape/Skilled Trades Survey
Through close collaboration with the Office of the Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Job Creation, MPP Dunlop’s office is currently gathering important research pertaining to business activity in Simcoe North.
Specifically, the research is focused on two key areas.
Investigating the impact of Government Regulations (Red Tape) on businesses in Simcoe North, in support of our
government’s commitment to eliminating unnecessary and redundant regulations that are slowing down business activity
in Ontario.
Further researching the impact of Skilled Labour on businesses in Simcoe North.
Supporting Skilled Labour has been a top priority for MPP Dunlop. On July 26 2018, MPP Dunlop tabled a motion that stated:
“the government of Ontario should identify and execute all the required actions to create an environment and training process
that will expedite the creation of sufficient skilled tradespeople to make skilled labour a competitive advantage for Ontario and
meet the requirements of a growing and vibrant economy in Ontario.” This motion received unanimous support in the legislature.
As MPP Dunlop continues to be the central advocate for skilled labour in Simcoe North and Ontario as a whole, it is essential
that they gather further information from skilled labour-related organizations.
Please take a moment to complete the following online survey to join the conversation and share your thoughts and insights on
these important topics: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/TZH5DSY
All Candidates Meetings will be televised on Rogers CableTV
Chamber Group Insurance Plan
Absenteeism is a complicated and expensive element of any business. Employee assistance programs (EAPs) provide
a confidential way for employees to deal with personal issues. When an employer promotes an EAP, it can become
the foundation of a wellness program enabling employees to tackle challenges they face in their personal lives.
Studies have indicated that when employers implement a wellness program, they can save 1.5 to 1.7 absentee days
per year per employee – an average savings of $251 to $274 per year per employee.
Chambers Plan offers the Arive© Employee Assistance Program. It provides confidential access to counselling
for work or family difficulties, dependency issues, legal and financial problems, and eldercare and childcare
matters. Arive© can help employees and family members cope with difficult situations before they escalate into
broader problems. It’s good for them and it’s good for business.
The Chambers Plan’s sole purpose is to provide comprehensive employee
group benefits to participating Chamber of Commerce members and their
employees. Did you know the Chambers Plan has some great programs that
add value to your plan and will help your employees?
In addition to the general coverage of Medical, Dental, Life, Long/short
Term Disability, the Chamber’s Group Insurance plan includes the following:
My-Benefits Health Help keep your employees healthy with my-benefits health®, it provides Plan participants
easy access to reliable health tools and services.
Best Doctors Provide a second opinion with Best Doctors to bring greater certainty to a health diagnosis and
treatment plan.
Business Assistance Service Help you manage your business with BAS. It gives owners access to Legal,
Accounting and Specialized Human Resource services.
My-Benefits eClaims Save time with my-benefits eClaims®. They enable members to submit Health and
Dental claims online and have them paid directly into their account.
By selecting the Chambers Plan, your firm has chosen a stable group program that can grow with your organization.
