This year the Shoppes at Grand Prairie celebrated its ten-year anniversary as Central Illinois’ premier shopping destination. This open-air lifestyle center is conveniently located just off I-74 and Rt. 6 at War Memorial Drive and Rt. 91. The shopping center is comprised of nearly fifty retailers ranging from upscale fashion to casual wear; all anchored by Bergner’s, Dick’s Sporting Goods, DSW Shoes and now Marshalls.

The Shoppes at Grand Prairie has welcomed eleven new stores in the past two years, including the newest one which opened on Oc-tober 24th. Marshalls, offering brand names and designer fashions for the entire family, is the Shoppes third largest tenant, occupying 28,000 square feet. “Marshalls has an emphasis on value and an ever-changing product offering. Each store receives an average of 10,000 new pieces of merchandise every week. This format is a nice comple-ment to our existing collection of tenants,” said Greg Slowiak, Shop-pes at Grand Prairie General Manager.

Known for fun and fashion, the Shoppes host multiple signature events throughout the year that draw thousands of customers from throughout the region. Start your holiday shopping season at the Shoppes when Santa and Mrs. Claus arrive by horse-drawn carriage on Saturday, November 23rd at 4pm. This annual event will be marked by the lighting of a brand new, huge, festive tree in center court, along with lots of holiday decorations, refresh-ments and the return of Shoppe-A-Long, the giant rocking horse.

The holiday season is a great time to say “Thank You” to your employees and Shoppes gift cards are the perfect gift. Shoppes cards can be used at the Shoppes at Grand Prairie in Peoria and the Shoppes at College Hills in Normal. It’s easy – simply call the Shoppes Office -- (309)692-3672 -- to place your gift card order, pick it up the same day or have your gift cards mailed to you!
