Frankfort Car Club is pleased to announce their weekly Frankfort Club Cruise night in downtown Frankfort at Breidert Green every Thursday night starting at 5pm to 8pm weather permitting. Cruise night runs until September 15th. Come out and take a look at these beautiful and nostalgic vehicles.

Frankfort Park District – The annual 4th of July Celebration is from 5-9 pm at Main Park, 400 W. The Chamber started an official internship program this spring under the direction of Executive Director, Alicia Bermes and has already placed three students in member, local business. For the program, possible interns send their resumes to the chamber and the chamber’s staff send the information to member businesses, and the businesses conduct interviews. The Chamber accepts students’ information on a rolling basis, and businesses have the option to take on a student whenever they would like during the year.
Kyle Knott is our 2016 summer intern. Since he began he has enjoyed continually developing real-world business skills. This year he graduated from Kankakee Community College with an Associates of Science with a business emphasis. After graduation he intends to work in government, fostering programs that strengthen communities and working to develop policies that help struggling areas.
This fall he will be attending Northern Illinois University in pursuit of degrees in both Management and Leadership and Public Administration and Service.

Yappy Play & Movie Night on Friday, July 15 at the Bark Park @ Commissioners Park, Yappy Play at 7:30 pm and the movie starts @ Dusk, approx. 8:30 pm and is FREE! Watch a movie under the stars with your 4-legged BFF. Bring your lawn chairs and snacks. Come socialize your dog prior to the movie and meet others in our pet community! During the movie, all dogs need to be leashed. Join your friends Wednesday, July 27 from 12-2 pm for Senior Picnic - “Sweet Treats” at the Founders Community Center and enjoy an afternoon filled with catered food, dessert, raffles and bingo. Joliet Junior College – Career Connects Will & Grundy aiming to give students in our area real-world career development and exploration through job shadows, internships and message boards with local professionals. Through this exploration, our hope is that every student will have a better understanding of the career path they would like to pursue and the steps they will need to take to get there.
