CHAMBER FOR THERMAL TESTS IN UNIVERSAL TESTING MACHINES

Suitable for most twin screw Universal Testing Machines of METROTEC to perform Tensile - Compression - Flexion

test under different thermic conditions.

Self-supporting double wall frame made of Stainless steel

Circulation of the air through a fan located in the center

The front door contains 4 glass plates, between the internal glass plates there are placed electrical resistances to heat the glass and thus

eliminate the frost deposited on the glass. (Option to place a light on the door and another light on the interior)

The upper and lower cavities have a Teflon tubular seal. Insert parts can be added to reduce the space used by the connecting bars of

the test clamp and the frame of the Universal Machine to a smaller diameter

Standard Temperature Controller with reading resolution of 0.1ºC

Optional Omron (RS232) or Eurytherm (RS485) controllers, analog input, and output

19-inch control rack with 4 meters of cable and a connector on the back of the Thermal Chamber

Frame with rails to move the Thermal Chamber in and out of the Universal Testing Machine with adjustable legs.

The Thermal Chamber moves by means of bearings and can be displaced at 611 mm.

Heating at a speed of + 15ºC per minute (from +20 to +80ºC without grips)

The cooling system requires Liquid Nitrogen which is controllable by a magnetic valve located in the back of the Thermal Chamber.

The accumulation of frost on the internal glass panel can occur through the opening of the door and can be resolved using electrical

resistors of standard supply

To cool down to -80ºC, 4 kg of Liquid Nitrogen is required

To maintain the temperature of -80ºC, a flow of 0.5 kg of Liquid Nitrogen per hour is required
