Chamber Board Votes to Retain Officers to Serve through 2021
Citing the complete disruption in business as COVID-19 changed normal operations the Board of Directors vot-ed to retain its current officers for year 2020-2021. Con-tinuing as Chairman is Chris Graff, 1st Vice Chairman Kevin Ray, 2nd Vice Chairman Eric Strobel, Treasurer Jim Cabral and Past Chairwoman Erin Vredeveld. Newly elected to serve as Secretary is Robbie Houle. The board understands that consistency and stability is vital to the business community as we navigate through a recovery period. Most indications show that it will take a while to get through this pandemic and the Chamber is committed to supporting our businesses and the commu-
nity with valuable resources, information and com-munication.
Two new community and business leaders join Chamber Board of Directors With resignation of board member Dan Streeter and the increase of the number of board members to 13 the Board of Directors voted to appoint Kort Miner, HUSD to fill the term vacated by Dan Streeter and Danny Sampson, Little Dealers Little Prizes to fill the new seat.

We continue to navigate the waters of COViD-19. Each week the Governor has a press conference where he reviews the current situation and where the state stands in cases, testing and health services. and each week things change. While we were hoping for more relaxing of restrictions, the op-posite occurred on June 17. Please refer to our website at pvchamber.org for the most current information on requirements for businesses, restaurants and bars and also for the message from our Mayor. as i said before, things change daily.
We continue to support our business community by our “Tying Prescott Valley Together” - Open for Busi-ness campaign. We are happy to see a recovery, albeit a slow one, for our community. We ask that you con-tinue to support our local businesses.
We are planning for PV Days at the end of July. We are weeks away and feel that the planning must go forward and hope that by then things will have im-proved. We are taking all physical distancing, health guidelines and safety factors into consideration while we plan to have a much needed outlet and activity for our residents. The PV Lions Club is excited to host the parade on July 25. Everyone is welcome to participate and applications can be found on our website at pv-chamber.org. Mark July 23-26 on your calendar.
Fain Signature Group and SignalsaZ are hosting a series of summer concerts in the entertainment district. Great music in an outdoor setting is the perfect way to spend an evening. Next concert is July 18.

CREDIT UNION WEST PROVIDES FREE MEALS TO HOSPITAL STAFF
as part of their Employees CaRE program, Cred-it Union West employees recently donated a portion of their pay to show their appreciation for the health care workers at yavapai Regional Medical Center’s Prescott Valley Campus. More than 300 meals were provided at no cost to hospital staff.
“i’m continually amazed by the generosity of our employees,” stated Karen Roch, President/CEO of Credit Union West. “Our team members wanted to show a display of gratitude for the amazing health care heroes that are keeping us safe and are always there for us in trying times like these.”
at the time of this release, Credit Union West’s em-ployees have provided over 825 meals to health care workers across Maricopa and yavapai counties. These meals are covered by the use of employee donations from the credit union’s Employees CaRE program, which provides support to local communities through-out the year.

PVcc Board approves By-law amendmentsARTICLE III BOARD OF DIRECTORSSection 1 Composition of the Board
Old language:The Board of Directors shall be composed of eleven (11) members from the general membership in good standing, including officers and past Chairman and two ex-officio members. in the event there is no past Chair-man, another Director shall be elected or appointed by the Board of Directors. One-third (1/3) of the Board of Directors shall be elected annually to serve a four (4) year term or until their successors are elected and qualified. Directors are eligible to serve two (2) four (4) year terms and are eligible to run again after one year off the board. Director’s terms shall begin their term on the first day of the fiscal year. The Town of Prescott Valley and the Prescott Valley Economic Development Foundation shall each be extended one ex-officio membership on the Board of Directors. (no voting privileges) The Town and the Foundation shall be entitled to name their ex-officio representative.The governing and policy-making responsibilities of the Chamber shall be vested in the Board of Directors, which shall control its property, be responsible for its finances, and direct its affairs.

teachers and staff in our Prescott Valley area schools. (We include HUSD and Charter Schools)
They are so appreciative of any help we give them and can definitely use the supplies we provide for them. Last year we had a record number of business participants providing everything from pens, rulers, pencils, theme
books, paper towels, notebook paper, and more. Coupons for your business are also a great way to get them to stop by.
We are now collecting these items and every bit helps. There is no charge to
participage and we will need 80 of each item. All participants are recognized in a welcome
