19 Students Honored For Being In The Top 5% Of Their Class.

At the May 4th banquet, the Chippewa Falls Chamber honored the top 5% of the graduating seniors from the Chippewa Falls Senior High School and McDonell Central Catholic High School, and their most influential educators. The students, parents and educators were guests at the banquet. Each year an individual is recognized who makes a significant contribution to students and staff. The Unsung Hero Award this year went to Dawn Siddons for her years of hard work and dedication to the Chippewa Falls Area Unified School District .

Leadership Chippewa Falls Now Accepting Applications Leadership Chippewa Falls was developed in 1999 to acquaint participants with a broad understanding of community successes and issues, as well as civic challenges facing our area. The program consists of eight half-day sessions and a recognition banquet, with one session held each month from October through May. Sessions are led by key leaders within a variety of sectors in the Chippewa Falls community, such as government, education and healthcare. Participants are divided into small groups that work together throughout the program to identify an issue or challenge within the community, gather re-search, and present possible solutions, taking leadership beyond the boundaries of the class and becoming engaged within the community. We are now accepting applications for the next Leadership Chippewa Falls Class starting Oct. 22nd. Please contact Nicole at 715-723-0331 or nikki@chippewachamber.org for more information.

June Dairy Day Dinner Wednesday, June 15 5 - 8:30 pm Northern Wisconsin State Fairgrounds Purchase tickets ($6 each) at the Chamber Office Since 1970, the Chippewa Falls Area Chamber of Commerce has celebrated the continued success of local farmers with a Farmer Appreciation Dinner. We recognize that agriculture, especially dairy farming, has historically been the linchpin of the Chippewa Valley economy. You are invited to participate by purchasing meal tickets for the farmers who support your profession or business year after year. The local Farm Service Agency will distribute the tickets, or you may request to have the tickets you’ve

purchased sent to you for distribution. You, your employees, family and friends are also invited to join us for dinner.

Welcome New

Chamber Members

Welcome New Ambassadors

Congratulations to three of our members for breaking ground for new developments in our community. The Valley Vineyard Church is building new after a electrical fire six months ago destroyed their church building. The new church includes a welcome area, the sanctuary, a kitchen, classrooms and space for the church’s food pantry. CCFBank broke ground on its newest traditional branch in Lake Hallie, next to Culver’s and across from Walmart. The new branch will be opening in the fall. ABC Arrow Building Center, on Park Avenue, broke ground on a 6,800 square foot building to house their new showroom and office space. They carry windows, doors, siding , roofing, cabinets and more for both residential and commercial. Construction should be completed in the fall.

Erika Stevens is a Chippewa Falls native! She and her husband, Tony, love this area and all that the

four seasons have to offer!

Erika is the Community Outreach Liaison with Cook Chiropractic Center in Chippewa Falls, as well as enrolled in her Master's degree for Positive Psychology. She enjoys spending time with loved ones and going on adventures near and far!

Josh Rizzo is the Foundation Director at HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital. He grew up in the Chippewa Valley, graduated from UWEC and worked at Chippewa Valley Habitat for Humanity prior to his development

work in healthcare. Josh loves to bike, run and paddle through the valley’s recreational opportunities with his wife and is expecting his first child this fall.

Oktoberfest Logo Unveiling

Matt Pabich, a graphic designer from Eau Claire, created the winning logo idea for our 14th Annual Oktoberfest. Our 2016 event is set to take place September 16-18 at the Northern Wisconsin State Fairgrounds in Chippewa Falls. Widely known as one of the most authentic and family-friendly Oktoberfest celebrations around, attendees will enjoy four stages featuring a variety of entertainment, family activities and games, and an assortment of delicious German Foods.

Three day admission wristbands can be purchased for $12.00 at the Chamber

and all Northwestern Bank locations between June 1st and

August 13th. Beginning August 15th, wristbands will be $15.00. More

Gordy's Market is pleased to announce they have opened their 25th store in Stanley. Gordy’s Market also plans to open another store in Hayward. Precision Pipeline, LLC will be undergoing a shop addition later this summer and an office addition by this fall. Charter Bank was ranked among the best performing by SNL Financial. Cray Inc. has signed a contract to upgrade and expand the Cray XC supercomputers and Cray Sonexion storage systems at Germany’s National Meteorological Service in Offenbach, Germany. The Title Company was recently purchased by the Milwaukee-based Knight Barry Title Group and has relocated to 3004 Golf Road, Eau Claire.

Green Acres Family Campground in New Auburn celebrated the newly constructed Dew Drop Swim Pond and broke ground to add an additional 24+ campsites. Eau Claire Realty is pleased to announce the addition of Realtor Sandra Jo Jack. She comes to the real estate industry with a background in residential construction and development.

Visitor Center Open Weekends

The Chippewa Area Visitors Center will be open weekends starting May 21 & 22. Summer hours will be Mondays-Fridays 8am to 5pm, Saturdays 10am to 3pm and Sundays 11am to 2pm. We anticipate more than 4,000 visitors will be stopping at the Visitor Center throughout the summer months to see what Chippewa Falls has to offer for dining, lodging, attractions, shopping, events and more. Chamber members may display their business brochures in the Visitors Center, so be sure to get a supply of your brochures to us today.
